The University of Minnesota football team rolled over the Penn State Nittany Lions at home on Saturday. Both teams came into the game 8-0 on the season.

The Gophers outscored Penn State in every quarter but one. Minnesota took a 7-0 lead in the first that they would never relinquish. Going into the final minutes of the game, the Nittany Lions had a chance to come back, but Jordan Howden came up with an interception in the end zone to give the Gophers the 31-26 win.

Tanner Morgan completed 18 of 20 for 339 yards three touchdowns, and one sack. Seth Green had three carries for six yards and a touchdown.

Rashod Bateman had seven receptions for 203 yards and a touchdown, Tyler Johnson had seven receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown, and Chris Autman-Bell added three receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown.

The Gophers improve to 9-0 and 6-0 Big Ten. They will hit the road on Saturday to face Iowa. You can catch that game on AM 1390 Granite City Sports.
