Viking running back Adrian Peterson should be named Most Valuable Player for the 2012 NFL season Saturday.  Peterson led the NFL in rushing with 2,097 yards and 12 touchdowns.  Peterson is also coming off a torn ACL in his left knee in week 16 of 2011.

Peterson's status week 1 of 2012 was uncertain but not only did he play he kept his promise and came back better than he was before the injury.  Peterson was the focus of every defensive coordinator the Vikings faced but yet he still managed to succeed despite 8 and 9 man fronts.

Peyton Manning's story is also but Peterson's is better.  Peterson said last weekend at the Pro Bowl that he expects to win the award.  The Vikings were 10-6 after finishing 3-13 the year before.  The Broncos were a playoff team the year before Manning got there.
