The Minnesota Wild extended their home ice win streak to 12 games, second-best in franchise history, with a big win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night.

Philadelphia netted the first goal on their first shot in the opening period. After that it was all Minnesota. The Wild chipped in two goals in the first period, one in the second, and one more in the third to come away with a blowout win 4-1.

Eric Staal scored two for the Wild. Zach Parise and Carson Soucy each added one. Alex Stalock made 17 saves and allowed just one goal in the game.

The Wild improve to 16-12-5. They will travel to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks on Sunday. Pre-game starts at 5:45 p.m on AM 1390 Granite City Sports.
