This is the time when many people are either on vacation, it's Spring Break for a lot of people, or you may be planning a summer vacation with the family.  That is always something to look forward to, and most people don't want to take a chance with anything going wrong with their travel plans and arrangements.

But if you are flying alone for whatever reason, you hear something like this, and you may be tempted to try it.

TikTok has an "Airport Theory" that has gone viral, and it's really not a great idea.

...TikTok’s newest travel trend, which is called “airport theory,” takes things to the extreme by challenging people to arrive at the airport 15 minutes prior to the gates closing—a bold experiment that’s reaching peak popularity during the busy spring break travel season.

There are WAY too many things that could go wrong with arriving 15 minutes before you flight is set to leave.  First, make sure you are not checking a bag.  Obviously, you wouldn't have time for that.  Also, what if there is a line at the security gate?  Or what if something within your luggage gets flagged for something you hadn't thought of removing? Or just for some random reason?  I have had that happen to me with nothing that wasn't ok in my bag.  They just sent it though not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES!  Then what?

I just wouldn't take that chance.  Travel is stressful enough without having to worry about missing your flight simply because you wanted to test a theory.  Then you possibly miss your flight, have to rebook, hopefully there is a flight available, and possibly have to pay a lot more for the same destination.

Would not recommend.  But if you are adventurous, go ahead... Good Luck!
