Twins Need To Callup Gutierrez, James and Gibson

The Twins biggest need is bullpen help and with Kevin Slowey going down on the disabled list the Twins are expected to callup Jim Hoey again.  Hoey got shelled consistently while with the big club.  There are better options at triple-A in lefthander Chuck James (1.63 ERA) righthander Carlos Gutierrez (3.00 ERA) and righthanded starter Kyle Gibson (3.80 ERA).  Gibson is considered their top starting pitching prospect and would need to start in the majors but both James and Gutierrez can help the bullpen.  Gutierrez is the top relief prospect and James is a journeyman deserving another chance.
