Most of us are so busy, we seem to be on the brink of burnout more than we would like. And it seems like the opportunities for us to decompress and reset aren’t coming as often as they used to.

Finding a way to get a partial reset can come in a variety of different ways. For some they find their reset working out. Others like to read to clear their mind, others gravitate toward music or podcasts.

The Chip Ingram App

I have a good friend who lives in another state that I talk with regularly. We talk about sports a lot, politics a little and a good deal about religion.

He is very grounded in his walk with God and someone I can ask questions of when something comes to mind. He recommended an App to a fellow named Chip Ingram. He is a pastor and teacher, and my buddy thought I would enjoy his messages. He has a website in addition to the app; livingontheedge.org.

He was right, I really do like Chip a lot. I work a second job where I can listen to things while I work and quite frequently, I listen to Chip. Earlier this week my friend sent me a message and said that he heard Chip’s message on Monday and he thought that I would find it interesting.

The Message

There was a minister name John Dickerson speaking on the Topic “Jesus, You and Healthcare”. The main focus of this message was based around Sister Mary Moes and the origin of what is now the Mayo Clinic.

This is 100% a Christian based message which some people may not to hear but it walks through the history of how the Mayo Clinic was founded and what the driving force for having the hospital was to begin with.

I enjoy history and am looking to build a strong base for my faith, so I really enjoyed it. And I thought that you might find it interesting as well.

We’re also accustomed to the Mayo Clinic to being a leader around the world in medicine, but do you know how it started.

This message gives a good foundation of what led us to where we are now.
