The NFL lockout was lifted by Minnesota Federal Judge Susan Nelson yesterday but the labor dispute in the NFL still has a ways to go to be resolved.  Since the owners are expected to appeal the ruling not much has changed.  The fact that a stay was not given in the ruling players can now return to team facilities but it's unclear whether the NFL fiscal year can begin.  Without a new collective bargaining agreement it seems unlikely that free agency can start but both sides vow to continue negotiations.  Mediated negotiations are likely to resume on May 16.  Fans just want to see the two sides workout a new CBA and want to see football start on time this fall.  I just hope the NFL won't be stupid enough to not reach an agreement before fans are turned off and football is delayed.
