There is some precipitation in the forecast throughout Minnesota this weekend. While most of the state will see rain, there are some places that could get a plowable amount of snow.

Southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities are expected to mostly see rain throughout Saturday evening and most of Sunday. The precipitation is expected to be heaviest throughout the southeastern part of the state during this time.

In the northern part of the state, Duluth's forecast is calling for snow during the overnight on Sunday and snow throughout the day on Sunday as well. Three to seven inches of snow is in the forecast as of Friday morning.

Here in the central region of Minnesota, it is going to come down to the temperature from hour-to-hour. The National Weather Service says the low temp should stay above freezing on Saturday night, adding that there is a 90% chance of precipitation in St. Cloud.

The NWS says Sunday morning will start with snow, mixing with rain, before becoming all snow after 4 p.m.. In addition to the possible snow, it will a blustery day with wind gusts up to 35 mph and sustained winds of 15 to 20 miles per hour.

Otherwise, the rest of the week looks pretty good! The projected high for Monday is 44 degrees, followed by 47 on Tuesday and 51 on Wednesday.
