New Bald Eagle Stamps Celebrate Our Feathered Friends’ Life Stages
For those of you who have been watching the Eagle family on the Minnesota DNR Eagle Cam, you just might want to get in on the newest set of stamps from the United States Postal Service.
A new set of commemorative stamps is being issued next week, called "Bald Eagle: Hatchling to Adult."
LAST STAMPS HONORING MINNESOTA WERE WAY BACK IN 2022
If it feels like it's been quite a while since we've had a new stamp released, it has been! The last time a stamp was released in the state of Minnesota was way back in 2022. The stamps issued in April of 2022 were the Forever stamps that honored Minnesota Native American artist George Morrison, featuring abstract landscapes that shared his connection to Lake Superior.

FIVE FOREVER STAMPS BY GEORGE MORRISON
George was born in a Native American fishing village in 1919 and is thought to be one of the greatest American abstract expressionist painters.
The new USPS bald eagle stamps will be issued next week, and there will be a ceremony honoring the bald eagle in Wabasha, Minnesota.
BALD EAGLE STAMPS
The stamps will feature the bald eagle in its many different stages of development. First, as a hatchling, then as a 4-week-old, then a 1-year-old eagle, a two-year-old eagle, and finally an adult eagle.
The designer of the eagle stamps is the art director for USPS, Derry Noyes, who used original paintings by ornithologist and illustrator David Allen Sibley.
