HOW DO I KNOW THIS IS A CROSBY CAT?

A lot of people have been talking about the Crosby Cats that have been taken in by the Tri-County Humane Society here in central Minnesota. I've heard people chatting about how they feel so bad for these beautiful animals that were living in horrible conditions and are going to find a way to make room for one more furry family member.

THE SECRET

But...the question they have is...How do I know that cat or kitten that I'm adopting is actually one of the Crosby Cats? I spoke with Merit Ortega, Executive Director of Tri-County Humane Society about that question, and she told me there is an easy way for you to know whether or not the cats are Crosby Cats or not.

When Tri-County was taking in the Crosby Cats, they gave each cat a number as they took them in, beginning with number 1. This is how they got their total count, and it's the way you can know if you are looking at adopting one of them.

HEAD TO THE CAT ADOPTION PAGE AT THE TCHS WEBSITE

When you go to the website, tricountyhumanesociety.org, and go to the cat adoption page, you will see a full listing of all of the cats and kittens that are looking for their forever homes.

If you see a cat with a newly given name followed by a number, it is a Crosby Cat. Pictured above is the beautiful tuxedo cat lovingly named Jet. When you find him on the website he will be listed as 'Jet 61,' as he was the 61st cat taken in during the Crosby Cat intake proceedings at TCHS.

WHAT'S YOUR LUCKY NUMBER?

So if you have a lucky number, if you want to choose your birth date, if you just like that cat, whatever your reasoning for choosing your new family member, if you want to specifically choose a Crosby Cat, just look for the intake number after their name, and you'll know it's a Crosby Cat.  Blueberry, pictured above is listed as Blueberry 35.
