Crowd Comes To Twins Winter Caravan [GALLERY]
The Twins Winter Caravan stopped in St. Cloud Wednesday night at Rivers Edge Convention Center. Current Twins players Denard Span, Ben Revere and Rene Tosoni were here along with former Twin Tony Oliva, broadcaster Dick Bremer and mascot T.C. Bear. The group signed autographs and held a program emceed by Bremer.

Johnnie Football Blanks Northwestern College
The St. John’s football team began their season with a 34-0 shutout win over Northwestern College Saturday afternoon in Collegeville. St. John’s led 27-0 at halftime. Stephen Johnson ran for 114 yards and a touchdown and Nick Schneider ran for 34 yards and a touchdown for the Johnnies. Connor Bruns threw for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns for St. John’s. John Ries was 6-10 passing for 43 yards for St. John’s.
Gopher Football Loses Heartbreaker At USC
The Gopher football team under new head coach Jerry Kill lost a tight game 19-17 at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles Saturday. Minnesota trailed 19-3 at halftime but outscored the Trojans 14-0 in the 2nd half.
