The Twins lost 3-2 Wednesday night at home to the New York Yankees for the 3rd straight night.  C.C. Sabathia threw 7 innings with 7 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to get the win.  He improves to 9-6 this season and earns his 200th career win.  Mariano Rivera threw a scoreless 9th inning for is 28th save.

P.J. Walters threw 5 innings with 4 hits and 3 earned runs allowed to take the loss and drop to 2-5.  Trevor Plouffe hit a solo homerun and Joe Mauer had a RBI double for the Twins.  Minnesota is 36-45 and will look to avoid a 4-game sweep when they host the Yankees today at 1:10, pregame on WJON at 12:40.  Righthander Kyle Gibson (1-0) will start for the Twins and righthander Davd Phelps (5-5) toes the rubber for the Yankees.
