Cathedral Boys Golfers Focused on State [VIDEO]
The Cathedral boys golf team could be sitting on their best season. The Crusaders are ranked #15 in the state and have won 5 meets so far and are in 1st place in the Granite Ridge Conference.
Local Teams In Softball Playoffs Today
The high school softball playoffs continue for some and start for others today. In Section 6-AA Cathedral plays Annandale at 5pm in Waite Park while Royalton plays Pierz at 5pm in Waite Park. Cathedral downed Foley 15-3 yesterday in 5 innings to advance to this point.

The St. Cloud State baseball team defeated Central Oklahoma 5-2 Wednesday night in their first game of the NCAA Division II Central Region in Magnolia, Arkansas. Cathedral graduate Dominic Austing threw 8 2/3 innings to get the win for the Huskies with 12 strikeouts.

Twins’ Castro Out for the Year
Twins catcher Jason Castro is lost for the season with a knee injury. Castro had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in Colorado this morning. The 30-year old catcher had been bothered by knee injuries for years but the injury recently had become tough to manage.
Rox Sign 3 From BYU
The St. Cloud Rox signed 3 players from Brigham Young University today. The 3 are pitchers Kenny Saenz and Jake Suddreth and catcher/infielder Noah Hill. Saenz played 12 games for the Rox last season and had a 4.66 ERA in 54 innings with 76 strikeouts.
