Meet Mavis, This Week’s Adoptable Pet

Say hello to Mavis. She came in to TCHS originally as a stray and was adopted and returned due to her family moving. She has not been around cats or dogs in the home. Mavis has been extremely dog reactive during her stay at the shelter and she is recommended to go to an only dog home.

She has been around children and done well with them, but she can be too rambunctious. She is a highly energetic and vocal dog, she craves attention and some way to burn off energy. We found out from the dog walkers that Mavis likes to chase cars!

She is an avid chewer and loves rope toys and bones. She is kennel trained. She should go to a family with previous dog experience and someone who can handle her exuberance. She would benefit from a high quality dog food to ensure her long term health. Any necessary toys or food can be purchased from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe.
