The 5K run as part of Granite City Days this year is called the Granite City Days/WJON/SCAR Dolls 5K. The run will take place Sunday June 26 at 8am again this year. WJON is partnering with the city of St. Cloud of the St. Cloud Area Roller Derby team (SCAR Dolls).

Longtime Twins Radio Network Affiliate WJON and the Twins are contributing $5,000 to the City of St. Cloud to help put a new scoreboard up at Whitney Field C3.

WJON was announced as the Minnesota Twins Affiliate of the Year Saturday at the Affiliate Appreciation event at Ford Center across from Target Field. The Affiliate of the Year is given to an Affiliate that goes above and beyond to show a support for baseball and positions itself as the Twins station in the market.

WJON Radio/Townsquare Media of St. Cloud has come to an agreement on a 3-year contract extension with the Minnesota Twins to air the games in Central Minnesota. WJON has aired the Twins in St. Cloud for more than 30 years. The Twin Cities affiliate of the Twins will change in 2013 from KSTP AM 1500 to KTWN (96.3FM).
