Gopher men's basketball

The 13th ranked Gopher men's basketball team lost at #24Wisconsin 68-60 Tuesday night in Madison, Wisconsin. Minnesota trailed by 4 at halftime and tied the game late but the Badgers prevailed in both team's Big Ten opener. Devoe Joseph and Ralph Sampson III each had 14 points to lead Minnesota and Trevoe Mbakwe added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Gophers.

The 16th ranked Gopher men's basketball team defeated South Dakota State 85-73. The game was tied at 64 apiece before Minnesota closed the game on a 21-9 run. Colton Iverson and Devoe Joseph each scored 15 points for the Gophers and Rodney Williams added 13.

The 17th ranked Gopher men's basketball team will host South Dakota State tonight at Williams Arena at 7pm. Minnesota is 10-1 while South Dakota State is 8-3. The Gophers are expecting to get point guard Al Nolen back in the lineup tonight.

The 20th ranked Gopher men's basketball team defeated Akron 66-58 Wednesday night at Williams Arena. Trevor Mbakwe led the Gophers with 13 points and 13 rebounds, Blake Hoffarber added 13 points and 7 assists and Rodney Williams chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Gophers won at St. Joe's to improve to 8-1 this season. Devoe Joseph led Minnesota with 19 points.

The Gopher men's basketball team defeated Siena 76-69 Monday night to improve to 2-0 this season. Blake Hoffarber led the Gophers with 16 points, Ralph Sampson III added 13 points and Trevor Mbakwe added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
