The Apollo Eagles boys basketball team lost 67-62 in overtime to 3rd seeded Orono at Williams Arena Wednesday afternoon in the Class 3A State Tournament quarterfinals.  The Eagles led by as many as 18 points with 14:11 remaining couldn't hold the lead in regulation.  Ibrahim Abukar made 2 free throws with :05 left in regulation to force overtime.  Jordan Smith made a pair of free throws with :19 left in overtime to give Orono a 4-point lead.  Smith led Orono with 29 points.  Abukar led Apollo with 16 points and Blake Maslonkowski added 14 points and 7 rebounds.  The Eagles end their season with a 25-5 record.  Orono advances to play Waconia at 2pm Thursday in the Class 4A State Semifinals.
