The St. Cloud Apollo boys basketball team plays in the Class 3A State tournament quarterfinals today at 4pm at Williams Arena against 3rd seeded Orono.  Hear the game today on AM 1240-WJON with Jay Caldwell calling the play-by-play.  The Eagles are 25-4 and so is Orono.  The two teams played December 29 at the Granite City Classic at Apollo with Orono winning 62-55.  Apollo led for much of the game.  The Eagles will play today without senior point guard Ibrahim Abukar who had surgery Tuesday to extract bone marrow to give to his 13-year old sister in need of a transplant.  Sophomore Brett Maslonkowski will start at shooting guard in place of Abukar while Derek Steve moves over to start at the point.  Orono is led in scoring by Jordan Smith averaging 21.3 points a game.
