The Twins defeated San Diego 5-4 in walkoff fashion Sunday afternoon to complete a 3-game sweep of the Padres and win their 7th straight game.  Drew Butera singled in Delmon Young from 2nd base with 1 out in the 9th inning to secure the win.

Alexi Casilla hit a solo homerun and Delmon Young added 2 hits for the Twins.  Minnesota is 31-39 and is 8 games back of Cleveland for first place in the American League Central.  The Twins moved into 4th place in the AL Central ahead of Kansas City.

Minnesota gets the day off today before starting a 3-game series at San Francisco Tuesday night at9:15, pregame on WJON at 8:45.  Righthander Carl Pavano (4-5) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Madison Bumgarner (3-8) toes the rubber for the Giants.
