The Twins lost 5-3 at home to Oakland Sunday afternoon to drop to 3-6 this season.  Brandon McCarthy threw 7 1/3 innings with 9 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to get the win.  Scott Baker threw 5 innings with 7 hits and 4 earned runs allowed to take the loss.  Justin Morneau went 3-4 with 1 RBI, Jim Thome hit a 2-run homerun and Danny Valencia added 2 hits for Minnesota. The Twins had 10 hits on the day.  Minnesota has the day off today and will host Kansas City Tuesday night at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Lefthander Brian Duensing gets the start on the mound and lefthander Jeff Francis gets the ball for the Royals.  Kansas City is 6-3 this season.
