St. Cloud Cathedral

The St. Cloud Cathedral baseball team lost their state semi final game this (Friday) afternoon. The Crusaders fell to Kasson-Mantorville 2-0 at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud in the Class 2A State Semi Finals.

St. Cloud Cathedral's Austin Poganski is a junior on the boys hockey team. Dave Overlund spoke with Poganski about growing up playing hockey, his influences and making the decision to go to North Dakota to play hockey. Click the player below to get to know Austin:  

The Cathedral boys soccer team lost 2-1 to St. Paul Academy and Summit School Monday afternoon at the Metrodome. Myles Hagen tied the game at 1 apiece at the 63:01 mark of the 2nd half before Peter Wood scored the game-winner for St. Paul Academy and Summit School.

The newly formed Granite Ridge Conference is going from 7 schools in 2011-2012 to 9 schools in 2012-2013. The two schools joining in 2012-2013 are Albany and Becker. Albany decided today to leave the West Central Conference and make the move to the Granite Ridge Conference.

The Cathedral and Apollo boys basketball teams play in section playoff games this week and WJON will broadcast games on Tuesday and Thursday. Cathedral plays Zimmerman in the section 5AA semifinals at St. Michael-Albertville Tuesday night at 6pm, hear the game on WJON.
