Yes Frontman and Emerson, Lake, & Palmer are Coming to The Ledge!

Another big announcement from The Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park: classic rock legends Emerson, Lake & Palmer are coming to town with Yes on August 7th.

It does pain me to type their name like that, but nonetheless the legendary prog rockers will blow your mind.

ELP was formed in London in 1970 by Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, and Carl Palmer. Palmer is the only living co-founder remaining (Emerson and Lake both died in 2016). Palmer was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1989. He also co-founded the supergroup Asia with Yes guitarist Steve Howe.

Yes? Yes...in a Roundabout Way

Yes was formed in London in 1968 by Jon Anderson (vocals), Chris Squire (bass), Peter Banks (guitar), Tony Kaye (keyboards), and Bill Bruford (drums). The prog rock pioneers would eventually replace Banks, Kaye, and Bruford with Steve Howe (guitar), Rick Wakeman (keyboards), and Alan White (drums).

Yes found commercial success with 1971's Fragile, featuring the hit single "Roundabout". Yes disbanded in 1981, but reformed in 1983 and released 90125, featuring the number one hit single, "Owner of a Lonely Heart".

Yes has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and won a Grammy for 1985's "Cinema".
