The St. Cloud Tech Tigers defeated inner-city rival, St. Cloud Apollo 59-53 in a thrilling overtime affair on Tuesday night. Both teams traded buckets in the 1st half but the Tigers committed too many fouls in the 1st half and the Eagles led, 28-26.

However in the 2nd half, the Tigers would go on a 11-2 run, leading by a game high nine points. But Apollo would not give up, tying the game with two minutes left and forcing overtime. In the closing minutes of overtime, Tech made six-free-throws sealing the deal. Junior, Jake Mussman of Tech led the way with a game-high 22 points for the Tigers.

With the win, the Tigers improve to 3-2 overall and 3-0 in conference and Apollo falls to 2-2 on the season. St. Cloud Tech will tipoff at Rocori this Friday and the game can be heard on WJON beginning at 7:20 PM
