SCSU Baseball Picked To Finish Second In NSIC
The St. Cloud State University baseball team has been picked to finish second in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in the upcoming 2014 season. Minnesota State-Mankato tops the poll with 14/15 first place votes.
Mavericks pitcher Jason Hoppe of Sauk Rapids was picked as the Preseason Pitcher of the Year by the coaches. Hoppe pitched for the St. Cloud Rox of the Northwoods League during the summer of 2013.
SCSU twin brothers Kyle Fischer (pitcher) and Garrett Fischer (OF) were named as the Huskies' players to watch by the coaches.
