The Cleveland Indians beat the Minnesota Twins 3-1 Monday night at Target Field in the first game of a three game series. The Twins are now 7-6 overall, and just 2-5 since their surprising 5-1 start to the season.

Eddie Rosario's RBI single in the bottom of the second inning gave the Twins a short-lived 1-0 lead. Cleveland took the lead in the top of the third inning on a Michael Brantley groundout and an Edwin Encarnation single.

Kyle Gibson picked up the loss for Minnesota, tossing 5.1 innings while allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks with two strikeouts.

The Twins will host Cleveland again Tuesday night at Target Field. The game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON beginning with pregame coverage at 6:30 p.m.
