Wild Wins Fifth Straight Game Thursday
The Minnesota Wild picked up its fifth straight win with a 5-4 victory over the Lightning in Tampa Bay Thursday night. Minnesota is now 14-11-4 on the season.
The Wild fell behind 1-0 just 1:57 in the first period before rallying for three goals in 1:41, tying a team record. Joel Eriksson Ek, Jason Zucker and Carson Soucy all scored to give Minnesota a 3-1 lead.
The teams traded goals until Tampa Bay's Alex Killorn scored four minutes into the third period to tie the game at four. However, Minnesota's Mats Zuccarello scored the eventual game-winning goal just eight seconds later to send the Wild to the win.
Minnesota will play at Carolina Saturday night, with puck drop set for 6 p.m.
