Wild Surrender Late Lead Then Fall In Overtime
The New York Rangers beat the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in overtime at Madison Square Garden Monday night. The Wild falls to 9-11-4 with the loss.
Minnesota winger Ryan Hartman's tripping penalty with just over three minutes left in the third period allowed the Rangers to tie the game on a power play goal. Alex Stalock then allowed the first shot he saw in the extra period to elude him and send Minnesota to the overtime loss.
Zach Parise and Ryan Donato each scored goals during regulation for the Wild.
Minnesota will look to bounce back Tuesday night when they take on the Devils in New Jersey. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. on AM 1390, Granite City Sports.
