The Minnesota Wild beat the Los Angeles Kings 6-3 on Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild went ahead 2-1 on a goal by the Kings with an Erik Haula score at 1:36 of the first period, then got a Jason Pominville goal late in the first for a 2-1 lead after one.

Minnesota then scored three goals in the second period to pull away from the Kings. Charlie Coyle started the scoring burst with a power play goal, followed by even-strength goals from Mikko Koivu and Teemu Pulkinnen to give the Wild a 5-1 lead after two.

The Kings made a comeback attempt in the third with a pair of goals, but Jared Spurgeon's tally into the empty net sealed the win for the Wild.

Minnesota hosts the Toronto Maple Leafs Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center. The game can be heard on AM 1390 KXSS with pregame coverage beginning at 6:45.
