The Minnesota Wild moved into a tie for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference with a 6-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center.

The Avs took an early 1-0 lead on a power play goal by perennial Wild-killer Jerome Iginla, but then scored three goals in the first for a 3-1 lead after one.

A pair of Colorado goals tied the game going into the third period, but again the Wild unloaded a trio of goals to stop the Avalanche.

Minnesota will head to Toronto to begin a brief road trip Thursday night. Pregame coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. on AM 1240 WJON.
