FORT MYERS - The Minnesota Twins battled to a 2-2 tie against the Baltimore Orioles in spring training action on Friday afternoon.

The Twins scored their first run in the second inning thanks to an RBI single from Eduardo Escobar. Minnesota tied the game 2-2 with two outs in the ninth inning when Brandon Waring hit a solo home run.

Twins starter Mike Pelfrey went 3 1/3 innings in the contest, allowing one run off of five hits and striking out two.

The Twins will continue their spring training against the Mets at 12:10 p.m. on Saturday. You can hear all the action on AM1240 WJON.
