Twins Take Series From Tribe

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Twins took two out of three from the Cleveland Indians after a 4-1 win on Sunday afternoon.

Tommy Milone returned from the disabled list to throw five good innings, surrendering only one run on three hits.

The Twins didn't trail for long, scoring in the bottom of the second inning on a two-run RBI single by Kurt Suzuki.

In the eighth inning, Minnesota got some insurance on a Trevor Plouffe solo home run and RBI bunt single by Eduardo Nunez.

Twins relivers Brian Duensing, Casey Fien and Kevin Jepsen held the Indians hitless in three combined innings and closer Glen Perkins came on for his 31st save of the season.

With the win, the Twins improve to 59-58 on the season, 1.5 games out of the second American League Wildcard spot.

Minnesota will start a 10-game east coast road trip beginning tomorrow night in the Bronx against the New York Yankees.
