The Twins blew an early 5-0 lead in an 11-8 loss to the Angels Thursday night at Target Field. Minnesota still trails the Astros by 1.5 games in the American League Wild Card race, and now lead Los Angeles by just one game for third place.

The Twins led 5-0 after one inning thanks to a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning from Torii Hunter, but starter Tommy Milone allowed six runs in the top of the second inning including a grand slam from Mike Trout.

The Angels tacked on two more runs in the top of the third inning and never looked back.

Minnesota hosts LA again Friday night. First pitch on WJON is scheduled for 7:10, with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30.
