Trade Deadline

The Major League Baseball trade deadline is July 31 at 3pm (Central Time) and the Twins could be sellers if they continue on the path that they are on. As of Monday morning the Twins are 44-53 and are 9 1/2 games back of Cleveland for first place in the American League Central and are 14 1/2 games back of Seattle for the last wildcard spot in the American League.

The Minnesota Twins were busy at the MLB trade deadline sending starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco to the Los Angeles Angels.

The Twins have acquired right-handed relief pitcher Kevin Jepsen from the Tampa Bay Rays for 2 minor league pitchers in a trade deadline deal. The 31-year old Jepsen has a 2-5 record with a 2.81 ERA in 41 2/3 innings with 34 strikeouts.

The big NBA trade deadline expired on Thursday, but there weren't a whole lot of big moves.
