Tech Boys Basketball

St. Cloud Tech boys basketball is looking to make it back to back state tournament appearances when they play Alexandria in the Section 8-3-A Final in Willmar tonight at 7:30 p.m.

The Tech boys basketball team overcame a 6-point halftime deficit to beat Austin 68-63 at Concordia-St. Paul in the Class 3-A state consolation semifinals Wednesday. Sophomore Tameron Ferguson led Tech with 26 points with 4 steals.

The Tech boys basketball team is headed to the state tournament after rallying to beat top seeded Alexandria in Willmar 71-69 in the Section 8-3-A final in Willmar Thursday night. Senior Devin Yeager's put back basket at the buzzer broke the 69-all tie to send the Tigers to the Class 3A state tournament.

The Tech boys basketball team will play Alexandria tonight(Thursday) in Willmar in the section 8-3-A Final. The two teams split the two meetings they had this season with Alexandria winning 90-63 in Alexandria December 17 and Tech winning 90-62 in St. Cloud on February 28.

The Tech boys basketball team snuck by Brainerd 70-68 Friday on a buzzer beater by senior Jared Yeager. Brainerd made a game-tying 3-point basket with 7 seconds remaining.

St. Cloud Tech boys basketball coach Mike Trewick joined Dave Overlund on WJON's "Hang Up and Listen" Tuesday to preview the Tiger 2018-2019 basketball team. The Tigers were 18-9 last season but graduated 6 key seniors. Tech will be led by junior center Odier Olange and guard Nate Trewick and seniors forwards Tate Caldwell and Jared Yeager.
