St. Ben's may not be heading to the playoffs, but there’s plenty of reason for optimism after a strong finish and promising player development.

St. Ben's basketball rallied from down 4 at halftime to win at Concordia-Moorhead 68-64 in the MIAC Tournament quarterfinals Tuesday night. The Bennies were led in scoring by Sophia Jonas with 13 points and Lauren Arnold with 12 points.

The St. Ben's basketball team lost 63-59 in overtime to John Carroll University of Ohio Tuesday morning in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Bennies trailed by 10 at the end of the first quarter, were down 6 at halftime and trailed by 4 going into the 4th quarter.

The St. Ben's basketball team won at Bethel 72-69 in the MIAC women's basketball tournament quarterfinals Tuesday night. The Bennies were led by Carla Meyer with 22 points and Megan Morgan added 18 points for St. Ben's.

The St. John's basketball team pushed ahead of Macalester in the MIAC standings after posting a 69-67 win over the Scots in Collegeville Wednesday night. Ryan Thissen led the Johnnies with 19 points and Kooper Vaughn added 16 points.

The St. Ben's basketball team defeated Carleton in St. Joseph Wednesday night 62-55. The Bennies were led in scoring by Carla Meyer with 22 points and Sophia Jonas added 13 points.

St. Ben's basketball earned a 64-61 win at Carleton in Northfield Monday night to improve to 10-4 overall and 7-4 in the MIAC. St. Ben's was led in scoring Sophia Jonas with 20 points and Carla Meyer added 14 points.

St. Ben's basketball will be on their way to the Big Island in Hawaii Saturday to play in a 2-day holiday tournament called the Big Island Classic in Hilo, Hawaii. The Head Coach of the Bennies is Mike Durbin, who's in his 37th year at St. Ben's.

St. John's basketball improved to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the MIAC after posting a 75-50 win at Macalester in St. Paul Wednesday night.
