Ovie and the Franchise

On this version of the Ovie and Franchise Podcast we talk about great games in Minnesota history. We talk about the best Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Wild, Gopher basketball and local high school and college games.

Dave and I talked about the surprising Minnesota Wild who may actually make the playoffs. We also discussed whether Richard Pitino should be fired. The Gophers have really struggled over the last month.

Dave and I talked today about the NFL adding a regular season, 2 playoff teams and removing a preseason game. We also discussed whether the Vikings should trade Stefon Diggs and/or sign quarterback Kirk Cousins to a contract extension.

This week Dave and I dissect the trades made by the Twins, Timberwolves and Wild in the past week and who did the best. Dave and I also weigh in on if the Houston Astros organization and players deserve more punishment for their involvement in sign stealing from 2016-2018.

Dave and I talked today about the Super Bowl, the Timberwolves struggles, Vikings coaching moves, Gopher basketball and the death of both Kobe Bryant and Chris Doleman.

This week on the Ovie and the Franchise podcast we talked heavily about baseball, the Twins, the Astros, and Derek Jeter. We also touched on the immediate future of the Timberwolves and Wild and Gopher Basketball.

This week on the Ovie and the Franchise Podcast Dave and I talked about the Vikings upcoming game at San Francisco, their win over the Saints and what it would mean to play in the NFC Championship game.

Dave and I are back at it after the Holiday break. We had a lot of catching up to do discussing the Viking embarking on the playoffs, the Twins signing a pair of veteran starting pitchers, the Timberwolves doing what they do and the Gopher basketball team coming close to winning at Purdue.

The Vikings and Packers are fighting it out to win the NFC North. Dave and I talked about the Vikings chances of winning the division and what the Packers have left for a schedule. The Twins failed to sign free agent pitcher Zack Wheeler.

The Timberwolves have been more entertaining than the Wild and seem to be headed in a better direction. Dave and I discuss how the Wolves are becoming relevant. Dave believes MLB will change the baseball and make it tougher for the Twins to hit home runs next season.
