The Minnesota Wild defeated Detroit 2-1 in overtime Tuesday night. Devin Setoguchi scored the game-winning goal for the Wild after Mikko Koivu tied the game at 1 apiece in the 3rd period. Josh Harding had 36 saves for Minnesota. Detroit outshot the Wild 37-27.

The Minnesota Wild lost 4-2 at Columbus Thursday night in their 2nd to last preseason game. Guillaume Latendresse and Mikko Koivu each scored a goal for the Wild and Josh Harding had 22 saves for Minnesota. The Wild outshot Columbus 34-26.

The Minnesota Wild scored 1 goal in each period and beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-1 in Edmonton Friday night. Brent Burns, Jared Spurgeon, and Andrew Brunette each scored a goal and Mikko Koivu and Pierre-Marc Bouchard each had 3 assists for Minnesota. Jose Theodore had 28 saves in net for the Wild.

The Minnesota Wild lost 8-1 to Montreal Sunday afternoon. P.K. Subban scored a hat trick for Montreal. Mikko Koivu scored the lone Wild goal on a penalty shot. Jose Theodore allowed 5 goals with 14 saves and Niklas Backstrom allowed 3 goals with 10 saves.

The Minnesota Wild got Mikko Koivu back in the lineup Monday night but still lost at Vancouver 4-2. The Canucks scored 3 first period goals and held on from there. Andrew Brunette and Mikko Koivu each scored a goal for the Wild and Niklas Backstrom had 18 saves.

The Minnesota Wild lost 2-1 in an overtime shootout Sunday afternoon against the Detroit Red Wings. Todd Bertuzzi scored the game-winning goal in the shootout. Martin Havlat scored the lone Wild goal and Niklas Backstrom had 38 saves. Minnesota was outshot 39-26. The Wild played without center Mikko Koivu Sunday because of a broken finger.
