Stearns County has put an application in to acquire 202 acres of park land near the golf course in Paynesville. Stearns County Commissioner Joe Perske joined me on WJON. He says the location of this potential park is just to the south and west of the golf course toward Lake Koronis.

The County Road 75 bridge construction project over the Sauk River in Waite Park continues but it isn't ahead of schedule. Some road construction projects in the state are ahead of schedule due to the unusually warm weather but that doesn't include the County Road 75 bridge project.

Stearns County Commissioners are looking at 3 options for the future of the Stearns County Jail. The two downtown options include building a 2-story building which would be an extension of where the current jail, is expanding to the west.
