The Granite City Classic boys and girls basketball event returns to the St. Cloud area next week. The 2-day event will take place December 29-30 and is put on by Breakdown Sports USA for the 13th straight year.

The Granite City Classic boys and girls basketball tournaments December 29-30, 2021 will consist of the largest field of varsity teams in the tournament's history. The Granite City Classic boys basketball event has made some adjustments to their schedule due to weather. Justin Hegna from Breakdown Sports has announced the games scheduled Thursday December 27 have been postponed due to expected snowy weather.

(Granite City Classic) Apple Valley 84, Tech 56 (Appley Valley played without injured top player Tyus Jones) Buffalo 55, Apollo 51 (Apollo falls to 4-4) Delano 64, Sartell-St. Stephen 51 (Sartell falls to 3-3) Rocori 69, Becker 35 (Rocori is 4-1)

The Rocori boys basketball team defeated Becker 69-35 Friday afternoon in the first game of the day at the Granite City Classic boys basketball tournament at Apollo High School. Jonah Eisenschenk led the Spartans with 22 points and Mac Mueller chipped in 11.

Crusader Classic @ Cathedral High School Cathedral 93, Southland 72 (Brady Schmidt and Conor Voss led Cathedral with 23 points apiece. Cathedral plays Litchfield at 7pm tonight. Pierz and Melrose will meet in the other semifinal at 5:30 tonight)
