The Cathedral boys hockey team is set to play Monticello in the Section 5-A section final Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in Elk River. The Crusaders are seeded 2nd in the section while Monticello is the #1 seed.
The Cathedral boys hockey team won the Section 5-A championship 4-1 Wednesday night in Elk River to earn their 2nd straight state tournament appearance. Andrew Dwinnell, Caden Johnson, and Griffin Sturm all scored first period goals.

The Cathedral hockey team captured the Class A State Consolation boys hockey title Saturday with a 4-1 win over Alexandria at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis. Cathedral fell behind 1-0 in the 1st period but scored 4 straight to earn the win.
Cathedral Activities Director Emmett Keenan has announced the hiring of 2010 Cathedral graduate Robbie Stocker as its new head boys hockey coach. He is also a Social Studies teach at Cathedral. He previously has served as an assistant coach at both Delano and Cathedral.
