Roy has had chronic knee problems that caused him to retire after the 2010-2011 season but decided to come out of retirement and join the Timberwolves. Roy has played in just 5 games this season and has averaged 5.8 points a game.

The Timberwolves won 114-81 over Haifa in a preseason game Tuesday night. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 24 points and 8 rebounds, Brandon Roy added 19 points in 25 minutes and Andrei Kirilenko had 13 points and 8 rebounds for Minnesota. The Wolves shot 47 percent from the field and Haifa shot 39 percent.
Timberwolves Start Preseason Games Tonight
The Timberwolves will play their first preseason game at the Fargodome against Indiana tonight at 7pm. The Wolves have a new-look team that includes veterans Brandon Roy and Andrei Kirilenko. The Wolves also welcome a slimmed down Nikola Pekovic and Derrick Williams. Pekovic reported lost 7 pounds and have improved his muscle mass. Williams has lost approximately 30 pounds in hopes of playing more small forward this season.
