The Timberwolves downed Boston 124-122 Monday night at Target Center. Minnesota was out-scored 38-31 in the 4th quarter to make the game close. The Wolves were led in scoring by Karl Anthony Towns with 28 points and 13 rebounds,

The Timberwolves lost 113-99 at Boston against the Celtics Monday night. Minnesota was outscored 32-19 in the 3rd quarter after trailing by 7 at halftime. The Wolves were led in scoring by Andrew Wiggins with 26 points and Karl Anthony Towns added 25 points and 16 rebounds.

Minnesota got within three points late, but the Boston Celtics went on a scoring run that led to a 114-98 loss for the Timberwolves.

The Boston Celtics played without point guard Rajon Rondo but still beat Atlanta 87-80 to even the best of 7 first round playoff series Tuesday night. Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 36 points.
