Family, friends and fans of St. Cloud native Alise Post piled into Marcus Parkwood Cinema today (Wednesday) to watch her hit the track at the Rio Olympics.
Viewing parties have been planned as St. Cloud's own Alise Post competes in the Olympics. You can watch Post in the the BMX races at the Marcus Parkwood Cinema in Waite Park. The viewing parties are free and open to everyone.
A sport centered around balance, concentration and speed will be in the summer Olympics. BMX is a sport for boys and girls of all ages and can be found right here in St. Cloud.
- A St. Cloud native is going back to the Olympics. Twenty-five year old Alise Post qualified to compete in the summer games in Brazil last (Sunday) night.
St. Cloud native Alise Post qualified in 8th place in the women's BMX racing event at the Olympic games in London. She said after the race she could have raced better but could have been worse. She is seeded 4th for her semifinal heat and needs to finish 4th or higher to advance to the finals.
