Rox Homestand Kicks Off With Free Hats And Tacos
The St. Cloud Rox will begin their longest homestand of the season on Tuesday night when they host the Rochester Honkers at Joe Faber Field. The eight-game homestand will run all the way through Wednesday, July 30th.
The Rox are having an excellent season on the field with a Northwoods League-best 34-16 overall record and are averaging 1,532 fans per game at Joe Faber Field. St. Cloud won the Great Plains West Division first half title, which means they have already clinched a playoff spot for this season.
Tuesday's game is slated for a 6:35 first pitch and the first 250 fans through the gates will receive a Rox baseball cap. In addition, every fan at the game will get a certificate for a free taco at Taco John's.
On Wednesday all fans in attendance will receive a Rox schedule poster, and the first 300 adults through the turnstiles will receive a Rox t-shirt.
Thursday, July 24th will likely be one of the more popular nights at the ballpark. That's because it's bobblehead night, with this year's edition featuring the Rox mascot Chisel dressed like an elf.
Friday night's game against the Minot Hot Tots will feature postgame fireworks, while Saturday's game offers a chance for the first 400 kids to receive a Chisel plush doll!
Sunday is a Kids TV Takeover Day, with an appearance by cartoon characters Bluey and Bingo. Every Sunday is also a Coborn's Kids Day, which gives kids the chance to run the bases and collect autographs after the game.
Next Tuesday, July 29th, is a 'Triple Play Tuesday,' offering fans a reserved ticket, hot dog and soda for just $15. In addition, if the Rox turn a triple play one lucky fan will win $3,000.
The homestand wraps up on Wednesday, July 30th with an Ice Cream Giveaway via Jupiter Moon Ice Cream.
After this homestand, the Rox will return home on August 6-8 to wrap up the regular season schedule at Joe Faber Field... with playoff games to follow.
