The Minnesota Lynx improved to 10-7 after defeating Phoenix 75-62 at Target Center Sunday. Five players scored in double figures for the Wolves led by Odyssey Sims with 15 points, Sylvia Fowles added 14 points and 13 rebounds and Napheesa Collier chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Former Husky, Wild Matt Cullen Retires
Former St. Cloud State hockey star Matt Cullen announced his retirement from the NHL on the Pittsburgh Penguins website. Cullen is a Moorhead native. He played college hockey at St. Cloud State and moved on to the NHL.
Lynx Edge Chicago 73-72
The Minnesota Lynx edged Chicago 73-72 Wednesday night. Odyssey Sims made the go-ahead jumper with 6.4 seconds remaining to lift the Lynx to the win. Sims finished with a team leading 16 points. Napheesa Collier and Asia Taylor each had 13 points and Sylvia Fowles added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Rangers Edge Twins in 11 Innings
The Twins go into the All Star break with a 5 1/2 game lead on Cleveland after falling 4-1 in 11 innings at home against Texas yesterday afternoon. Rougned Odor hit a 3-run home run off Adelberto Mejia in the 11th to put Texas on top.
Piercy Leads 3M Open
Scott Piercy is the leader after the first round of the 3M Open at TPC in Blaine Thursday after shooting a 9-under 62. Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Hadwin are tied with 2nd at 7-under. Alexandria native Tom Lehman and PGA Champion Brooks Koepka are in a group at 4-under.
A's Slam Twins 7-2
The Twins lost 7-2 at Oakland Thursday afternoon and Minnesota finishes the road trip 2-4. Oakland won 2 out of 3 against the Twins. The Twins yesterday took a 1-0 lead in the first inning with Oakland tying the game at 1 in the 4th inning.
