ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud State University men's and women's basketball teams each won in their match ups against Minot State on Friday.

SCSU MEN CRUISE IN WIN OVER MINOT

The Huskies men's basketball team got off to a hot start against Minot State and cruised to a 93-85 victory on Friday.

Jordan Poydras continues to lead the Huskies, finishing with a game-high 30 points on 11-of-18 shooting.

Scottie Stone added 22 points, Eddie Alcantara scored 15 in a game where the Huskies jumped out to 14-point lead at halftime.

The game was never really in doubt as SCSU improves to 13-8 in conference play and 17-10 overall.

SCSU WOMEN EDGE MINOT

The Huskies women's basketball team won a 66-65 nail-biter against Minot State.

Chelsea Nooker led the Huskies with 20 points and eight rebounds.

Betsy McDonald added 13 points and Lexy Petermann scored eight points with eight rebounds en route to the victory.

With the win, the Huskies improve to 15-10 on the season.
