The Los Angeles Kings beat the Minnesota Wild 3-1 Tuesday night at Staples Center. The loss drops Minnesota to 6-11-1 on the season, 15 points behind St. Louis in the Central Division.

The Wild trailed 2-0 late in the second period before Matt Dumba's unassisted goal at 15:40 made the score 2-1. The Kings would add an empty-net goal late in the third to seal the win.

The Wild returns home for the first time in nearly two weeks when it hosts the Arizona Coyotes Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. on WJON.
