The no.12 St. John's University basketball team swiftly took down Hamline University to roll to their sixth straight win on Saturday.

After a rocky opening half that included 10 lead changes, the Johnnies held a slim advantage 38-32. Then in the second half SJU pulled away with a 15-0 run on their way to a dominating 82-57 win over the Gusties.

SJU made a season-high 12 three-pointers, shot 54.7 percent from the field, made half of their three-point attempts, and hit 12 of their 13 free throws.

Colton Codute led the team in scoring with 20 points, two rebounds, and a steal. Jubie Alade finished with 14 points, and Oakley Baker added 13.

The Johnnies improve to 6-1 and 4-0 MIAC. They will travel to St. Peter on Wednesday to face Gustavus Adolphus College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
