Home Run Ball Goes in Cleveland’s Favor to Defeat Twins 9-2 [VIDEO]
CLEVELAND (AP) - In the final game of the series the Cleveland Indians were able to find their swing to take the 9-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins this (Thursday) afternoon.
Cleveland's Carlos Santana hit a three-run homer in the third inning, while Francisco Lindor added a two-run shot of his own later in the ball game.
Newly aquired left-hander Hector Santiago took the loos in his team debut allowing four runs on five hits.
The Twins did take the series stealing three games from the AL Central-leading Indians, outscoring them 35-16 in the first three games.
Cleveland's Andrew Miller, acquired from the Yankees on Sunday, struck out three in 1 1/3 innings.
Minnesota will continue on the road tomorrow (Friday) when they face the Tampa Bay Rays.
