High School Hockey Scores And Schedule

The Cathedral Crusaders topped River Lakes 6-2 Wednesday at the Granite City Classic hockey showcase in St. Cloud. Jake Van Halbeck scored a hat trick for a second consecutive game to pace Cathedral in the win.

St. Cloud beat Providence Academy 2-1 in overtime Wednesday at the Granite City Classic. Nick Portz scored for St. Cloud in the second period, and Carter Rieland scored the game-winner in overtime.

Monticello beat Sauk Rapids-Rice 5-1 Wednesday at the Granite City Classic. Morgan Barber's goal early in the third period cut the Moose lead to 3-1, but Monticello finished strong to end with the win. Lukas Marlin made 36 saves in the loss for the Storm.

The Sartell Sabres skated to a 3-3 tie with Northfield in the nightcap at the Granite City Classic. Will McCabe had a pair of goals for Sartell.
